What does it feel like to be surrounded by the beauty of Van Gogh? You can find out this summer with Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience. It's a 20,000 square foot, 360 degree light and sound spectacular featuring two-story projections of eight the artist's most compelling works., like Starry Night Over the Rhone River, Bedroom at Arles and Sunflowers. Visitors can lose themselves in the moving images that highlight brushstrokes, detail and color...you'll feel like you're inside the painting.
Aside from the floor to ceiling projections, you'll find separate galleries that chronicle Van Gogh's life, technique and influence through informative panels and engaging interactive activities.
And the good news? You can feel safe, COVID-wise. The exhibit is all digital and hands free. But of course you must wear a mask.
Tickets go on sale today for showings at a yet-to-be-named indoor venue beginning in June. Standard ticket access starts at $36.00 for adults and $19.90 for children. (Kids under 4 are free.) There are also family passes, and VIP passes with perks like posters and skip-the-line entries.
