We New Yorkers are a creative lot, as you may have guessed. This winter has brought a lot of snow, and with it, dozens of snow sculptures that blow the everyday snowmen out of the water.
Local artist Heide Hatry has created beautiful polar bear family sculptures in various montages across Central Park. (To locate them, take a stroll in the park in the West 80s.) Some have signs on them that say things like "Let Us Chill" or, in a nod to the threat of climate change, "Mommy, What's A Carbon Footprint?"
