Summer is near, and with the season comes Photoville NYC, a celebration of photography with over 80 exhibits across all five boroughs in the city. And the best thing about it? It's free!
The shows, which originally started twelve years ago in Brooklyn Bridge Park, are all open-air, with art displayed in shipping containers. Brooklyn Bridge Park shows run from Saturday, June 3 through Sunday, June 18, but exhibitions in other locations will stay open through September.
The festival plans to start off with a bang with an opening weekend community celebration in Brooklyn Bridge Park, which will include curated tours, artist appearances, workshops by Leica Camera and others, visual storytelling and nighttime programming on June 3 and 4. Food and beverage vendors from the always-yummy Smorgasburg will be on hand to prevent your stomach from growling.
Some of the other venues for the festival include Astoria Park in Queens, South Beach Promenade in Staten Island, Brookfield Place in Manhattan and Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.

Have a great weekend, everyone!
