Prost, people!

Get your German on right here in our fair city. Here are but a few of the happenings:

The Standard Biergarten: Servers will be decked out in lederhosen and dirndls all month long in this German-inspired joint right under the High Line. There will be pop-ups from visiting breweries, including Sixpoint Brewery, which will be hosting games, giveaways, a stein-holding competition and a live Oompah band on October 13th and 20th.

Chelsea Market: The vendors here are all in on the celebration, with Oktoberfest-focused specialty foods like  pretzel brownies at Fat Witch Bakery, jagerwurst reubens at Dickson's Farmstand, beer caramel doughnut sauce at Doughnuttery and local beer specials at Mayhem Sandwiches. Munch and slurp your way through the market, while listening to the Oompah music that's being provided at certain times.

Radegast Hall & Biergarten: Head to Williamsburg for German suds, out-of-this-world wursts, live music and competitions all month long.

Watermark Bar:  Pier 15 is the setting and the Brooklyn skyline and Williamsburg and Brooklyn bridges are the backdrop for some serious beer drinking and bratwurst and pretzel noshing now through October 24th.

Black Forest Brooklyn: There are two locations: one in Fort Greene and one in Cobble Hill. Oktoberfest parties will rage throughout the month featuring decorations, an Oompah band, drink and food specials and mug holding (we'll enter that one!) and costume contests with prizes.
