It's Time to Show Our Pride!

Yeah, the Pride celebration is back. Live. In-person. We're really back! The theme this year? Unapologetically Us.

The annual March will take place on Sunday, June 26th at noon, beginning  at 25th street and 5th Avenue. Marchers will proceed south on 5th Avenue before heading west on 8th Street. After crossing over 6th Avenue, the March will continue on Christopher Street passing the Stonewall National Monument. It will then turn north on 7th Avenue, passing the New York City AIDS Memorial, before dispersing in Chelsea at 16th Street and 7th Avenue. More than 75% percent of all marching groups are non-profit organizations, and more than half of all marching groups are participating free-of-charge. There are five Grand Marshals this year: Social media influencer Ts Madison, comedian Punkie Johnson, athlete Schuyler Bailar and activists Dominique Morgan and Chase Strangio. Angelica Ross returns this year as co-host and featured performer of the broadcast special on WABC-7 TV.

PrideFest, the street fair to end all street fairs, will be back in the Village for the 28th year! Fourth Avenue between 8th and 13th Streets is the location, and you'll find exhibitors, entertainers, food and activities on June 26th starting at 11 a.m.

The Rally will also be back live and in-person this year. The first Rally took place one month after the Stonewall Riots in June of 1969, when 500 people gathered for a "Gay Power" demonstration right in our backyard, Washington Square Park. This year it takes place on Friday, the 24th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m .at The Battery at State Street and Battery place, with hosts Raquel Willis and Sage Dolan-Sandrino. Speakers will include Chase Strangio, Dominique Morgan and Schuyler Bailar.

And, of course, Pride Island is also back. The premiere LGBTQIA+ music festival experience takes place on Saturday, June 25th and Sunday,  June 26th on Governors Island.  Artists this year include Lil' Kim,  Shenseea, Netta, Raye and Papi Juice. Tickets start at $85 and you must be 21 to join in on the fun.

Mind you, this is just a handful of the offerings available. Head here for a full rundown and to get tickets to specific events.

Happy Pride, people!
