Good Golly, Miss Molly – We’ve Done It Again!

Posted October 6, 2020

Indeed yet again TripAdvisor has tipped their hat to us by awarding Washington Square Hotel the Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best award. We want to make sure to also tip our own hat to those who’ve rated us highly on our TripAdvisor page. Ratings/reviews are what TripAdvisor takes into consideration to select award recipients, so it’s all thanks to our happy guests out there that we’ve been awarded for 2020. For future guests, we’d love to share the nitty gritty on what it is about our hotel that keeps us tip-top on the list of places to stay in New York City:

1. We Consistently Earn Great Reviews

Out of a total of 1,857 TripAdvisor reviews this year, 83% of reviewers rated the hotel above the average mark, the highest of designation being “Excellent”. Reasons given for these top-notch responses varied from convenience of our location, cleanliness, and our friendly staff who place customer service among the highest of their priorities.

2. We’re Ranked Within the Top 10% of Properties on TripAdvisor

In order to fall within this 10%, TripAdvisor again examines our reviews, and more specifically the quality, quantity, and recency of them. Essentially, winning a place within this echelon results from how popular we are among guests. We surmise our popularity is born mainly from being a historical embodiment of the heart and soul of NYC’s Greenwich Village – the music, the food, the simply vivacious nature…all of it has been the heartbeat of this community for as long as the hotel has.

Don’t just take our word for it, though. Visit NYC and see for yourself the realness of the vivacity of not just Greenwich Village, but of the city as a whole. After all, our hotel isn’t the only thing ranking highly in NYC on TripAdvisor. The Skip-Line Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island Tour as well as the New York in One Day Guided Sightseeing Tour are two among the “Top 10 Experiences in the United States” list on TripAdvisor. With endless things to do, even in current times, we hope our advising (and TripAdvisor’s advising) will have you venturing to what some quite accurately have dubbed the greatest city in the world.
