Fall Broadway Openings

 

Autumn is always an exciting time on the Great White Way, with new shows opening, and iconic ones being revived.

Here are a few coming up:

Purlie Victorious:  Leslie Odom, Jr. stars in this revival of the Ossie Davis comedy about a traveling preacher in the Jim Crow-era South. (Music Box Theater, September 27)

Melissa Etheridge: My Window: Grammy and Oscar winner Etheridge offers theatergoers an evening of storytelling and music, ranging from tales of her childhood in Kansas to her groundbreaking career highlights. (Circle in the Square Theatre, September 28)

Merrily We Roll Along:  Daniel Radcliffe stars in this first-ever Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth's musical. Previous runs Off-Broadway and on London's West End were smashes! (Hudson Theatre, October 10)

Spamalot:  It's back! The musical comedy of the film classic Monty Python and the Holy Grail returns in a new production. (St. James Theatre, October 31)

Gutenberg! The Musical!: Josh Gad and Andrew Rannells, the original stars of The Book of Mormon, reunite in this Broadway premiere of the hit Off-Broadway musical comedy. (James Earl Jones Theatre, October 12)

I Need That: Danny DeVito stars in Theresa Rebeck's new comedy about a hoarder facing eviction. (American Airlines Theatre, November 2)
