In any language, chocolate means yummy, rich, delicious...the ultimate comfort food. Milk, dark, bittersweet, white...you name it, you'll be able to find it at Salon du Chocolat NY, a global celebration of one of life's most attainable luxuries, our beloved chocolate.
Pastry chefs and chocolatiers will take the stage to demonstrate chocolate-forward recipes, take your questions and provide pastry-making tips.
There will be a fashion show featuring duds made out of--you guessed it--chocolate. Intricate chocolate sculptures will abound.
Hot chocolate will be celebrated by renowned chefs such as Ikumo Motoki (21 Club) and Jana Kern-Mireles (The Lambs Club). Plus kids will go over the moon for Salon de Chocolate NY Junior where they can play, learn, taste and discover the secrets of gourmet chocolate and pastry-making in educational workshops and hands-on activities.
The cocoa-centric fun takes place tomorrow and Sunday (November 16 & 17) at the Jacob Javits Center. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for kids aged 6 through 12. Children under 6 are free.
