We stumbled upon this cool article chock full of photos that depict our beloved Central Park in the eighties...and now.
Yeah, forty years ago wasn't the best of times for our fair city, our parks included. Trash, graffiti...the park was not a place anyone would want to hang out in. Those scary stories you'd hear about crime in Central Park? That was the eighties, but not now. It's a safe haven for the whole family and a treasure once again....full of lush greenery and friendly people. The Central Park Conservancy has poured hundreds of millions of dollars into the upkeep of this 843-acre oasis smack dab in the middle of the city. Take a stroll and you'll come across gardeners and trash collectors at every turn.
So check out the photos here. Doesn't it make you want to come for a visit?
