Think there won't be any concerts in the city this summer? We're happy to let you know that you're wrong!
The Candlelight concert series will take place at various open-air venues this season, from stunning rooftops and terraces to enchanting secret gardens.
The music will be mainly classical (Vivaldi, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky), but you'll also find jazz programs and even pop and movie soundtracks played on strings. But the big deal will be the setting--completely magical--as the musicians will perform surrounded by flickering candlelight. Don't we all look better in candlelight?
Prices start at $20, and, for most shows, all ages are welcome. There will be two performances each evening, at 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. and some locations will offer cocktails. (Can we get a Vivaldi and tonic, please?_
And don't worry....social distancing will definitely be in effect. Every event will be super-organized and outdoors, so all you have to do is enjoy the music...six feet away from your fellow concertgoers.
Have a great day, everyone!
