Pride parade

Let's Celebrate Pride!

May 31, 20251 min read

And, let's face it. New York City does it the best!

The annual March will take place on Sunday, June 29th, beginning at 25th street and 5th Avenue. The theme this year? Rise Up: Pride in Protest, which focuses on the increasing hostility and legislative attacks on the LBGTQIA+ community, and calls upon them and their allies to be defiant.

Marchers kick off at 5th Avenue and 25th Street and will proceed south on 5th Avenue before heading west on 8th Street. After crossing over 6th Avenue, the March will continue on Christopher Street passing the Stonewall National Monument. It will then turn north on 7th Avenue, passing the New York City AIDS Memorial, before dispersing in Chelsea at 16th Street and 7th Avenue.

There are a several Grand Marshals this year, including former press secretary to President Joe Biden Karin Jean-Pierre, DJ Lina and Marti Gould Cummings.

The parade starts at noon and tends to last for six to twelve hours, so there's plenty of time to join in on the fun. And claustrophobics beware, it will be crowded: there will be over 700 groups taking to the streets, and millions of spectators.

PrideFest, the street fair to end all street fairs, will be back on that same day at 11 AM. The location is TBD, but it will be right here in the Village. So what will you find? Exhibitors, entertainers, food and activities...and it's free!

Mind you, these are just a handful of the offerings available during Pride Week. There are dance parties, a sober cruise, a brunch party...even wrestling! Head here for a full rundown and to get tickets to specific events.

Our city is waving its rainbow flag to welcome everyone.

Happy Pride, people!
