It's the year of the dragon!
Yes, Chinese New Year is upon us, and the parade takes place tomorrow at 1 PM. This will be the NYC parade's 26th anniversary, and it promises to be as delightful and colorful as ever, complete with martial art performances, dragon dancing, music and more.
FYI the Year of the Dragon is anticipated to bring auspicious opportunities and exciting advancements for all. Those born under the dragon sign (1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000 and 2012) are noted for their innovative thinking and inquisitive nature.
Whether you're a dragon or not, the parade is a blast. The parade heads down Mott Street to Chatham Square to East Broadway toward the Manhattan Bridge, completing on Forsyth Street near Grand Street and Sara D. Roosevelt Park.
And don't forget to check out the festival booths in Chinatown, on Bayard Street between Mott and Mulberry Streets.
