Ask any New Yorker for the best place to go to experience culture and and the arts in the city and, to a person, they'll name the 92nd Street Y.
The Y is a one-stop shopping culture and community center. There are concerts. There are dance performances. There are literary readings, classes, artist conversations and events suitable for the whole family.
Here's just a sampling of what's coming up:
September 30 - An Evening with Kate McKinnon: The Millicent Quibb School of Etiquette for Young Ladies of Mad Science (in conversation with Seth Meyers about her new book).
October 1 - Malcolm Gladwell in Conversation with David Remnick on his new offering Revenge of the Tipping Point.
October 10 - An Evening with Kelli O'Hara, a performance by the Tony award-winning chanteuse.
October 15 - Apple TV+'s Shrinking: Advance Screening and A Conversation with Co-Creators Jason Segel and Brett Goldstein.
October 20 - Mother Goose, a distinctly contemporary retelling of classic fairytales.
October 25 - Melissa Errico: Interpreting Sondheim from Stage to Concert, two-day performance workshop for cabaret wannabes.
October 30 - Delia Ephron, Julianna Margulies and Peter Gallager in Conversation with Daryl Roth about Left on Tenth, a new Broadway play based on Ephron's best-selling memoir.
November 21 - Robert Caro (The Power Broker, The Passage of Power) speaks on the art of biography with Stacy Schiff.
Again, this is just a tiny selection of what you can find at the 92nd Street Y. Ticket prices vary, but are usually quite reasonable.
