Tulip Festival

April 12, 20241 min read

It's finally spring, people!

And one of our favorite welcome-to-the-season events is the Tulip Festival at the West Side Community Garden, on 89th Street between Amsterdam and Columbus, which begins this weekend. Upper West Siders have been looking forward to this festival for 46 years now, and for good reason.

The garden is a virtual riot of color, with a ton of tulip varieties, along with azaleas, daffodils and other spring flowers. Knowledgeable volunteers will be on hand on the April 13, 14, 20 and 21 from 10 AM to 6 PM to answer all your tulip-related queries. (The gates are open every day, though.)

The American Museum of Natural History is just a few blocks away, so make a day of it!

Tulips and T-Rexes. Only in New York!
