Tai Chi For All!

Tai Chi For All!

So, what exactly is Tai Chi?

For some it's a meditation; others consider it an exercise. It's an ancient Chinese tradition that, today, is practiced as a graceful form of exercise, involving a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing.

Numerous studies have shown that tai chi improves muscular strength, flexibility and fitness, plus improves immunity and overall quality of life. We can all use that, can't we?

The folks at our Parks Department are also believers in the benefits of tai chi, and have organized weekly sessions this summer on Garibaldi Plaza in the Washington Square Park.

Every Tuesday from 8:30 am to 9:30 am. from June 4th through September 10th, just show up if you want to join in. Isn't that a cool way to start the day before sightseeing?

And did we mention that there's no charge? More fantastic freebies from the good people who run our parks!
