Smorgasburg food tents

Smorgasburg is Back!

April 04, 20251 min read

Ah, spring. Time to throw off that overcoat, trade in those boots for comfy sneakers and head outside to shop, people-watch and eat. And nothing jump-starts the city's outdoor eating and drinking season like Smorgasburg, a food festival that the New York Times has dubbed "the Woodstock of Eating."

For fifteen years, New Yorkers have been headed to Williamsburg and Prospect Park in Brooklyn or the World Trade Center in Manhattan to chow down on every kind of ethnic food you can think of (and some you can't). Over 70 vendors set up tents at Smorgasburg, everything from shatshuka to Ethiopian stew to Caribbean barbecue to good old kosher pastrami. Soft pretzels, po' boys, raclette and Mexican corn.

Each location is open one day a week: WTC on Friday, Williamsburg on Saturday and Prospect Park on Sunday. Each site is open from AM - 6 PM and will be open through October.
