Purple Rain

Purple Rain

Oh, how we love--and miss--Prince.

2024 marks the 40th anniversary of Prince's extraordinary album and movie, Purple Rain. The good folks at the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy remember it as fondly as we do, and so will mark the occasion with a special film screening and dance party at Pier 3 Plaza in Brooklyn Bridge Park.

There are two dates: Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27. The party starts at 6:30 and lasts until 10, just enough time to let it all hang out dancing to Let's Go Crazy.

Definitely bring your own snacks and picnic blanket. Lawn chairs are a no-no, as is bringing in your own booze. Don't despair though, as wine, beer and cocktails can be purchased on-site courtesy of Bar by Fornino.

RSVP here to let them know you're coming. The RSVP doesn't guarantee you entry, as it is on a first come, first served basis, but they'll send you an event reminder and share updates and alerts.
