Oysters!

Oysters!

November 07, 20231 min read

Say it with us, people. Oy. Sters. Here's where you can slurp the best of the best, at reduced Happy Hour prices:

Right here in the Village, check out  Pearl Oyster Bar, an institution on Cornelia St. for over 20 years. From 5 to 6 p.m. every night, market oysters cost $1.95 each. Add another $7 to the bill for that oh-so-necessary glass of rosé or sauvignon blanc.

Also here in the neighborhood, The Clam offers both East and West coast selections, for $4 each with a chili-lime mignonette. But you can get them for a buck each during their Monday-Friday Happy Hour from 4 to 6 p.m., served with a champagne mignonette.

The Ten Bells in the East Village offers a Happy Hour deal from opening up to 7 p.m. of dollar oysters and a $15 carafe of wine.

The Mermaid Inn has two locations: one in the East Village and another on the Upper West Side (perfect for a drink and a nosh after visiting the American Museum of National History). Their Happy Hour runs from 5 to 7 p.m. and offers $1.25 East Coast oysters, with select beers at $6, and $8.50 wine and cocktails.

But you know what? You don't have to go anywhere to enjoy your favorite mollusk. North Square's daily Happy Hour (5 - 7 p.m.) offers up dollar Malpeque oysters, plus selected wines and beers for $6, and certain cocktails (Negronis!) for only $8.

So come downstairs and slurp away!
