Everyone's favorite tennis tourney takes place from Monday, August 24 through Sunday, September 7 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens, a quick subway ride away from the hotel. Yannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff are the favorites this year, but as we know, in tennis, that can change on a dime.
Tickets to the 25 tournament sessions, from reserved stadium seating to general admission ground passes are available here. Pro tip: Get the grounds passes. It's so much fun to see a 100 mph serve close up! (How do they do that?) And you just might get a chance to see the next Roger Federer or Serena Williams. Plus it's also a blast to see your favorite players warming up on the practice courts.
The food, in our opinion, blows away any you'll find at a baseball game. Grab a lobster roll from Red Hook Lobster pound, pasta from Eataly, a filet mignon steak sandwich from Pat LaFrieda Meat Co., rice bowls from Korilla BBQ, pastrami on rye from Glatt Kosher, or a rice bowl from Korilla BBQ. Pop open a Heineken to wash it all down and you're good to go for the next set.
Can't wait until the 24th to get your tennis on?
Fan Week takes place from August 18 through the 23rd. This is the period when the qualifying player matches take place, and the USTA has turned it into an event. And it's free! Arthur Ashe Kids' Day, on the 23rd, will feature family-friendly entertainment and activities. Stars of the Open, on the evening of the 21st, will bring together a mix of legends and top players on the court. Think John McEnroe taking on Alcaraz or Francis Tiafoe. Tickets for the Stars night start at $40.
