Every summer, New Yorkers anxiously await the Central Park Conservancy Film Festival...three days of family friendly flicks. (Say that fast ten times).

This year it takes place August 13th through 15th. The first night, they'll screen the 80s hit Back to the Future starring Michael Fox. If you haven't seen it, it's a classic. A teenager is accidentally transported back in time to the 1950s, where he inadvertently interferes with his future parents' budding romance.

On Wednesday, the 14th, you can catch the 1987 romantic comedy Moonstruck. (Snap out of it!) Cher plays a Brooklyn widow, engaged to a mama's boy who falls in love with her fiancé's brother.

The next night, this mini-festival closes up with the mega-hit 2019 Oscar best picture nominee Black Panther, in which the superhero defends Wakanda, a technologically advanced country in Africa that has hidden itself away from the rest of the world.

So here's the scoop: Screenings take place at the landscape in Central Park between Sheep Meadow and the 72nd St. Cross Drive. (Just enter the park at 72nd St. on either the east or west side.)

Gates open at 6:20 p.m. and the films begin at dusk. Our advice? Definitely get there earlier rather than later. And bring a picnic basket and plenty of snacks!
