Have you ever watched a movie on an aircraft carrier?

We didn't think so!

The USS Intrepid screens blockbusters for free on select dates all summer long. First up, on Memorial Day weekend, is Top Gun: Maverick, this Friday the 24th.

Doors open at 7 PM, but make sure to get there early to snag a space. BYO chairs, blankets and snacks, but booze is a no-no. (If you forget something to munch on, have no fear, light fare is sold at the event.)

Friday, June 28 - Apollo 13

Friday, July 26 - First Man

Friday, August 23 - Moonfall

A bonus? All the movie nights coincide with Intrepid Free Fridays (save May 24th), when admission is free from 5 PM to 9 PM. Definitely get there early, so you can also catch the current exhibition Apollo: When We Went to the Moon, which explores the history of the space program.
