We here in New York City do free well...like, really really well.
So to kick off the holiday season, the community is coming together to celebrate Manhattan West Winter Fest, a fun-filled day of scheduled activities that include free ice skating, live performances, sweet treats, hot beverages and more.
On November 28 from 4 - 8 PM, head to Manhattan West Plaza, located at 9th Avenue between 31st and 33rd Streets. Here are some highlights:
Ice skating
Hot chocolate courtesy of Daily Provisions
Musical performances to celebrate different holiday traditions, like klezmer for Hanukkah and and South Asian for Diwali
Christmas caroling
Art-making activities
A pop-up performance from the cast of the Tony award-winning best musical Kimberly Akimbo
Selfies with Santa!
And if you're truly in the holiday spirit (which we know you are), folks will be on hand collecting new or gently used coats and new, unwrapped toys to donate to those in need.
It sounds like a fun day for the whole family...and everything (including that hot chocolate) costs you nothing.
Check it out!
