It's the twelfth year for this gathering of music lovers and do-gooders. The Global Citizen Festival is an annual music festival where fans take actions toward ending extreme poverty in order to earn free tickets. The concert will take place on the Great Lawn in Central Park at 4 PM on Saturday, September 28th (and last until about 10 PM).
So how do you go about nabbing those coveted tix? Just download the Global Citizen's app and do your part to defeat poverty, defend the planet and demand nutrional and financial equity around the world. The app will hand out various tasks, such as signing petitions, writing letters to politicians, sharing messages on social media and more. Each task earns you points that can go towards your entries into a draw for a chance to win festival tickets.(You can also skip the good deeds and purchase tickets, starting at $250.)
The show promises to be a big one: Post Malone is the headliner, and other acts include Doja Cat, Lisa, Jelly Roll, Benson Boone, Raye, Rauw Alejandro. The festival will be hosted by Hugh Jackman and have appearances by Coldplay's Chris Martin and Dr. Jane Goodall.
